The Dutch artist Bart Jansen wanted to pay tribute to his cat Orville, died having been crushed by a car. The man would have been able to build an original grave for it, but he preferred to stuff the animal to make a remote-controlled helicopter. A very silly idea which makes a lot of noise on the Internet.
Bart Jansen is fascinated by aviation.
He moreover called his cat Orville, in reference to the airman Orville Wright.
The artist is persuaded that his favorite pet would have liked flying.
” After a period of mourning, I decided to fly my animal.
He liked so much birds, I hope that he is soon going to be able to be among them ” he commented.
To be made, the man transplanted four helixes to legs quartered by the stuffed cat.
He also implanted in his body an engine and a battery.
This morbid invention was named by his author the Orvillecopter.
It is a member from now on of the collection of KunstRai Art Festival of Amsterdam.
